How to stay grounded: On appreciation

Remember the moment when you first dreamt of something, a certain thing that you have always longed for? Can you reminisce the feeling of actually experiencing and getting it? It might be overwhelming or unbelievable. Your dream just apparently came true. You got your dream job and/or business or maybe your dream house or maybe the dream car. The feeling is exciting and contagious. But how do we remain calm inspite the feeling of extreme joy and happiness? The concept of appreciation follows. We can apply it from even the smallest things that we have. Smell the fresh air, drink the refreshing water, enjoy the conversation and company of good friends. Savor the sumptuous meal that you'd prepare for the family dinner. It is in all the same things. Appreciation adds color and vibrant to things, it comes next to being grateful. We can also add appreciation to one another. Imagine the feeling whenever you feel valued, heard and commended. It's like getting a medal from your school teacher, getting an A from your professor. Getting a promotion and/or getting an award from just about anything. The feeling is celebrating. Appreciate the things that you have, even the smallest ones, more importantly, appreciate the people around you and it will come back to you a hundred times.
