How to be calm and at ease: Mindfulness

Taking time to relax and catch up with things that matter the most in our lives are ways of being mindful and living in the "now" Being mindful means that we concentrate in the present moment. It is a life in the present state. Many people practice this kind of thinking because it makes them less anxious and stressed. Yesterday was gone and the future is yet to come. The secret is to live in the present to eliminate worries, set-backs and uncertainties. It is easy to perform. Whenever we do something, just focus the attention to what we are doing and avoid thinking for what had happened or what may happen. For instance, you have a project at work that needs to be done and that is due for tomorrow, just focus in today's agenda and take it step by step. Stay on the attention of the project by today, and you will finish it nicely, mindfully without hassle. You have a family dinner and you're the one tasked to prepare and set-up everything in detail, just concentrate in the moment, gather your thoughts and ideas in the "today" and you will have a meaningful dinner with your loved-ones. Many people apply this kind of thinking or practice because it helps them not to worry too much of what may happen and as well as helps them to let go of the past. Thus, living in the "now". Your will-power is what drives you. Stay focused in the present moment and you will reap the benefits of living mindfully.
